Description
We have a unique opportunity for the right Individual to take up an Internship as a Trainee Technical Support Engineer.
My Client is one of the fastest growing I.T companies in the heart of the city. With two offices in St Pauls and Chancery Lane, this is a unique opportunity to come on board a rapidly growing IT company.
Due to their city location, you will have the unique opportunity to be providing I.T support to FTSE companies in the heart of the city as well as SME's throughout London.
As an Intern you will learn everything from 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line Technical support as well as Windows, Microsoft platforms and learn the ability to trouble shoot the following:
Server Issues
VOIP Installations
I.T Installations
Cabling
Routing issues
Laptop Repairs
Provide ISP support
Server Rebuilds and Installations
Office Networking
Providing general IT advise to clients
Outlook configurations and trouble shooting
This Internship will last 6 months and if successful you will be offered a Permanent contract with my client. You will be expected to work Monday - Friday 8.30-6pm. During the length of your internship, you will be partnered with a senior IT engineer to help with your training.
Please note that this Internship will offer a monthly Allowance only as well as Incentives whilst you learn on the job. Once completed, the successful Intern will be offered a Salary once a Permanent job offer is made.
To be considered for this role you must be:
Articulate
Have a good understand of IT
Have a good understanding of the Microsoft and Windows platforms
Have a basic understanding of troubleshooting IT queries
Understand server and networking environments
Have Excellent Communication Skills
But above all be willing to learn and have the ability to learn new things quickly.
If you show the right attitude, you will also have the opportunity if offered a Permanent role at the end of your Internship to be sent away to gain professional Qualifications in your chosen IT field.
